Stephen Burks: Man Made Toronto January 23 - April 1 Pay What You Can Presented by Wedge Curatorial Projects in conjunction with the Studio Museum in Harlem. Inspired by Stephen's collaborations with Senegalese basket weavers based in New York and Dakar, and projects with artisans in South Africa, Peru and India, Man Made starts with the traditional basket-weaving process as its core concept and encourages us to reconsider both the conceptual and the aesthetical value of a handmade object, and celebrate traditional skills, techniques and cultures. Stop, Drop, Repeat: The Printed Work of Marlis Saunders March 7 - April 23 Free for DX Members $10 Adult / $8 Students and Seniors The DX's first major exhibition on pattern design and this country's first look at the exceptional work by a Canadian Bauhaus pioneer. The exhibition gathers over a hundred works on paper that reflects the broad range of Saunders' career.
